Boarding your horse at Farmhouse Stables provides a safe and comfortable environment for your horse and peace of mind for you.

What makes us different from many barns is our attention to detail and our extra effort to keep your horse happy. Below is an overview of our high level of horse care that makes our barn stand out from the rest.

We work hard to properly maintain the fields, rings, and barns. We fertilize all of the fields each year and take pride in keeping our barns and grounds in a neat and organized condition providing an enjoyable atmosphere.

Boarding

Everyone at the Farmhouse Stables welcomes you, your family and your horse as part of something very uniquely special.

Our mission with our boarding programs is to provide equine facilities and care where the horse’s physical and emotional wellbeing are of greatest importance. We design a program with respect for each animal’s needs for a sense of place, comfort and safety.

Types of boarding

Self-boarding - Our self-boarding program at Farmhouse Stables is designed for horse owners who want full control of their daily care while benefiting from a professionally maintained facility. You’ll have access to spacious, well-kept stalls, secure tack storage, ample turnout pastures & both indoor and outdoor riding arenas.

The peaceful setting and supportive community make it easy to focus on your horse’s needs—whether that’s a tailored feeding plan, flexible riding times or specialized training routines. We provide the space, safety & resources so you can do what you do best: care for your horse, your way.

We take the time to get to know your horse and his/her daily habits. We will pay attention as to whether they are finishing all their grain, seem to be a little chilly and need an extra blanket. We have a barn directory with each horse's owner, vet, and farrier information, so you will be contacted immediately if the vet or farrier need to be contacted.
We currently have limited outside paddocks for turnout. If you wish for your horse to be turned out, we will rotate the horses for daily exercise. We all know that horses are not all the same - some prefer all day or all-night turnout while others enjoy only three to four hours. At Farmhouse Stables we try to adjust to each horse’s needs.

Our Stables

Arenas

Located in scenic Reo, Indiana—just east of Rockport and only 15 minutes from Owensboro, KY—Farmhouse Stables offers premium facilities designed with both horse and rider in mind. Our property features two well-appointed barns with capacity for over 40 horses, providing a safe, spacious, and well-maintained home for your equine companions.

We offer three lush pastures, a smaller 1-furlong outdoor track, and a brand-new 4-furlong training track coming this fall. For year-round riding and training, you’ll have access to our small indoor arena (45' x 45') and our expansive large indoor arena (60' x 225'), giving your horse the space and comfort they need in every season.
